Small changes, dramatic improvements.
Most "slow computer" complaints are solved by two upgrades: SSD and RAM. Combined cost often ₹6,000-12,000 versus ₹40,000+ for a new laptop. If the CPU is still adequate for your work, upgrading almost always makes economic sense.
HDD to SSD upgrade
The single most impactful upgrade for any computer with a mechanical hard drive. Boot times drop 4-5x. Application launches feel instant. Overall responsiveness transforms.
Typical cost: ₹4,500-9,000 depending on drive capacity and whether you need OS reinstall or data cloning.
Best for: Any computer with mechanical HDD, especially 3-8 year old business laptops and home PCs.
RAM upgrade
More RAM helps when you run multiple applications simultaneously, keep many browser tabs open, or work with larger files. 4GB → 8GB is a noticeable jump; 8GB → 16GB helps power users.
Typical cost: ₹1,800-4,500 depending on RAM speed, type (DDR4/DDR5), and capacity.
Best for: Systems currently at 4GB or feeling constrained at 8GB. Not possible on soldered-RAM laptops (many ultrabooks, MacBook post-2016).
Desktop GPU upgrade
For gaming, video editing, 3D work, AI workloads. Newer GPU delivers dramatically better performance. On desktops only — laptops usually can't have GPUs upgraded.
Typical cost: GPU cost varies widely (₹15,000 for entry-level to ₹1,50,000+ for high-end) plus install & testing.
Best for: Desktops with adequate CPU and PSU headroom to support the new GPU.
Cooling & thermal service
Old thermal paste, dust-clogged fans, dried thermal pads — common causes of thermal throttling in 3-5+ year old laptops and desktops. Full cleaning + repaste often restores original performance.
Typical cost: ₹1,200-2,500 for laptop; ₹1,000-2,000 for desktop.
Best for: Systems that run hot, throttle under load, or have loud fans. Recommended as preventive maintenance every 2-3 years.
Windows / macOS clean install
Fresh OS install eliminates years of accumulated cruft, bloatware, and configuration drift. Often makes a 3-5 year old computer feel new even without hardware changes. Combined with SSD upgrade, dramatic improvement.
Typical cost: ₹1,500-3,000 depending on data backup/restore complexity.
Best for: Any computer that's slow despite adequate hardware, or after a virus/malware infection.
PSU upgrade (desktops)
Powering a new GPU or planned future upgrades. Old PSUs also become less efficient and can cause random shutdowns under load. Quality PSU upgrade improves stability and enables future upgrades.
Typical cost: ₹3,500-8,500 depending on wattage and quality tier.
Best for: Desktops with aging PSU, planned GPU upgrades, or unexplained instability.

Free upgrade assessment before you commit. We check what your specific system can accept, calculate the total cost, and give an honest opinion on whether it makes economic sense vs replacement.
✓ Upgrade makes sense when...
- CPU is still adequate for your work (Intel Core i5/i7 3rd gen or newer, AMD Ryzen)
- Main complaint is slowness → SSD fixes it
- System is 3-7 years old and in reasonable physical condition
- Total upgrade cost is under 30-40% of replacement cost
- You're happy with the laptop's form factor and don't need latest features
✗ Replacement makes more sense when...
- CPU is inadequate for your work (very old dual-core, Atom, Celeron)
- Laptop is 8+ years old with limited upgrade paths
- Multiple things are failing — battery + screen + slow storage
- Your software needs have outgrown what the CPU can handle
- Warranty and support benefits of new system matter for business use
