Terms of service for engagements with Computer Clinic — repair work, business IT services, AMC and managed IT contracts.

Last updated: September 2026

1. Agreement to terms

By engaging Computer Clinic® ("we", "us", "our") for any service, you ("client", "you") agree to these terms and conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.

For business IT contracts (AMC, managed IT, infrastructure projects), the specific contract or SOW between us takes precedence over these general terms where they conflict.

2. Services we provide

Computer Clinic provides:

  • Computer and laptop repair for individuals and small offices
  • Business IT services including managed IT, IT AMC, IT support
  • Server services including repair, deployment, maintenance
  • IT infrastructure services including network setup, security, storage, virtualization, backup
  • Related consulting, procurement and project management

Scope of work for any specific engagement is defined in the quote, proposal, work order, or contract specific to that engagement.

3. Quotes and estimates

Quotes for repair work are estimates based on initial diagnosis. Actual costs may vary if diagnosis reveals additional issues. We will contact you for approval before any work exceeding the original quote.

Business IT project quotes and SOWs, once accepted in writing, form binding agreements for the scope described.

4. Payment terms

For repair work: payment on collection of device, unless otherwise agreed.

For business IT engagements: payment terms as specified in the individual contract or invoice. Standard terms are 30 days net from invoice date unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may incur reasonable interest charges.

Overdue accounts may result in suspension of ongoing services after reasonable notice.

5. Warranties

Repair work is warranted against defects in workmanship for a period disclosed at the time of service (typically 30-90 days depending on the nature of the repair). This warranty does not cover:

  • Unrelated failures on other components
  • Physical damage, liquid spills, or misuse after the repair
  • Software issues introduced after the repair
  • Failure of parts covered under manufacturer warranty (which are handled per manufacturer terms)

Parts warranty is per the original manufacturer's terms.

6. Data responsibility

Client data is the client's responsibility. We strongly recommend backing up your data before any repair or IT work. While we take care to preserve data, we cannot guarantee data preservation in cases involving failed hardware, unforeseen issues during repair, or where data recovery is not explicitly part of the engagement.

Where data recovery is explicitly requested, we make best efforts but cannot guarantee successful recovery. Fees for data recovery attempts apply regardless of outcome, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Computer Clinic's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service or engagement giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of business, profits, or data (see Data Responsibility section)
  • Third-party product defects (which are covered by manufacturer warranty)
  • Damages resulting from client-supplied information being incomplete or inaccurate

8. Cancellation

For one-off engagements: cancellation before work begins incurs no charge. Cancellation after work has started incurs charges for work completed and parts ordered.

For AMC and managed IT contracts: cancellation terms are per the individual contract, typically with reasonable notice periods (30-60 days) after the minimum contract term.

9. Confidentiality

We treat all client information — business data, technical details, commercial arrangements — as confidential. We do not share client information with third parties except as needed to provide the services (e.g., ordering parts, coordinating with vendors) or as required by law.

10. Intellectual property

Documentation we produce for you (network diagrams, configuration documents, procedures) is your property upon full payment. Our methodologies, tools, and business processes remain our property.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
