Dell went through a major naming transition in 2025 — the classic Inspiron / Vostro / Latitude / XPS / Precision families were consolidated into Dell / Dell Pro / Dell Premium tiers. XPS was briefly renamed but returned in 2026. We service every Dell laptop under either naming — whether your device says "Inspiron" or "Dell 14".
Inspiron (Dell / Dell 14, 16, 14S, 16S)
Consumer/home range. Now sold as plain "Dell" or Dell 14, 16, 14S, 16S. Common repairs: screen, battery, keyboard, hinge, port issues, thermal service. Older Inspiron 3000/5000/7000 units still very common in service.
XPS (briefly Dell Premium, XPS returned 2026)
Premium ultrabook line — XPS 13, 15, 17. Briefly renamed "Dell Premium" in 2025 but Dell brought back the XPS branding in 2026. Board-level component work often needed — soldered components, InfinityEdge displays, thin chassis.
Latitude (now Dell Pro)
Business range — classic Latitude 3000/5000/7000/9000 and new Dell Pro business laptops. Common in offices under IT AMC. Rugged construction, standard business servicing.
Vostro (now Dell Pro Essential / Dell Pro)
Small business range — cost-effective. Old Vostro units alongside new Dell Pro Essential branding. Standard repairability, common in SME offices.
Alienware (unchanged)
Gaming laptops — Alienware m15, m17, x15, x17. Naming unchanged through the transition. High-performance components, complex cooling, RGB lighting. Thermal service extremely common.
Precision (now Dell Pro Max / Dell Pro Precision)
Mobile workstations for engineers, designers, AI/CAD users. Classic Precision 3000/5000/7000 and new Dell Pro Max / Dell Pro Precision branding. High-spec components, standard business servicing.
G-series (now Dell gaming)
Mid-tier gaming laptops. G3, G5, G7 series folded into general Dell gaming line-up. Similar repair scope to Alienware but simpler design.
Dell Chromebook
Chromebook 11, 3100, 3400 series. Common in educational institutions. Standard laptop repair scope applies.

Keyboard failure
Individual keys not working, entire keyboard dead, spilled liquid damage. Keyboard replacement — laptop-model specific.
Hinge damage
Broken hinges on Inspiron, Latitude, Dell 14/16, especially in 2-in-1 models. Chassis-level repair sometimes needed.
USB-C / Thunderbolt port failure
Common on XPS, Latitude, Dell Pro — port replacement or board-level controller repair. Requires proper tools.
Motherboard failure
Board-level component work: GPU issues on XPS 15/17 and Dell Pro Max, power IC failures on Latitude / Dell Pro, capacitor issues on older Inspiron.
